Climbing Gear & Packing

To ensure a successful and comfortable climb, it’s important to pack the right gear and essentials.

Here is a comprehensive gear and packing list for your reference

Baggage and Sleeping

  • Duffel bag: Large enough to carry all your climbing gear and clothing, to be carried by your porter.
  • Extra bag: For your remaining belongings that will be left at the hotel or in our office.
  • Small luggage lock: To secure the zippers on the bag left in the hotel.
  • Day backpack: Between 40-45 liters capacity, with an elastic waterproof cover, for daily hikes or excursions.

Clothing

  • Quick-dry T-shirts: Lightweight and moisture-wicking for comfort during the climb.
  • Underwear: Sufficient for the duration of the climb.
  • Lightweight hiking trousers: Avoid heavy cotton as they don’t dry quickly.
  • Fleece: A middle layer for insulation.
  • Thermal underwear: Base layers for added warmth.
  • Waterproof, breathable, and windproof jacket: Protection against the elements.
  • Waterproof, breathable, and windproof pants: Essential for wet conditions.
  • Insulated down jacket (parka): For extra warmth during summit night.
  • Thermal socks: One pair for insulation and comfort.
  • Mittens or warm gloves: Insulated gloves for cold temperatures.
  • Waterproof gloves: To protect against wet conditions.
  • Good quality hiking socks and thin liner socks: Moisture-wicking and comfortable.
  • Waterproof hiking boots: Sturdy and well-worn with extra shoelaces.
  • Comfortable shoes for overnight camps: Such as running shoes or sneakers.
  • Sun hat: To protect your head, ears, and neck from the sun.
