Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, apart from the Marangu Route, is a true camping adventure that lets you fully connect with the mountain. You will sleep in strong, four-season alpine tents that are set up by our crew in quieter parts of the campsites, giving you comfort and a bit of privacy after each day’s walk. Meals are shared in a mess tent that brings everyone together for briefings and conversation, while lunches are usually enjoyed outdoors along the trail or packed to go on longer days, depending on the weather. The entire trek runs as a self-supported journey, with experienced porters carrying the tents, food, and luggage, so you only need to carry your own day pack with personal essentials. Our team also follows environmentally friendly practices by cooking with gas stoves and carefully managing camps each night and morning, helping to protect Kilimanjaro’s natural beauty while you enjoy an unforgettable and well-supported trekking experience.

Four Season Mountaineering Tents:

Our camping equipment includes top-of-the-line four-season mountaineering tents. These tents are designed to withstand the most challenging weather conditions on Earth. With their stability in high winds and ability to handle heavy snow loading, our tents provide a secure and cozy shelter for your mountain adventure. The tents can comfortably accommodate three people but we normally prefer to accommodate two people so that they can also store their luggage and still stay comfortably in our tents. They feature dual doors and vestibules for easy access and storage.

Comfortable Dining or Mess Tents:

During your camping experience, we provide comfortable dining or mess tents where you can enjoy your meals. These waterproof tents offer a cozy space for you to relax and dine after a long day of trekking. Inside the tent, we provide chairs and tables, allowing you to comfortably savor your meals and unwind with your fellow climbers.

Private Chemical Toilets (Deluxe and Luxury Climbs):

For added convenience and privacy, our deluxe and luxury climbs include private chemical toilets. These clean and comfortable toilets are exclusively reserved for our clients who prefer a more private and hygienic option during their time on the mountain.

Warm Welcome and Refreshments:

Upon reaching each campsite or hut, our dedicated staff warmly welcome you. To freshen up after your trek, we provide a bowl of hot water and soap, allowing you to refresh yourself. You will then be escorted to our dining tents, where you can indulge in refreshing tea and snacks, replenishing your energy and enjoying the camaraderie of your fellow climbers.
